Cyclists Welcome 

We are accredited to the Visit Britain Cyclists Welcome programme.

The West Dorset countryside is perfect for cycling, with hundreds of footpaths, bridleways and cycle tracks, over all types of terrain, which all invariably have beautiful views. Two good leaflets are produced by West Dorset District Council.

• Cycling in West Dorset. A guide to the National Cycle Network Route 2 in West Dorset.
• The West Dorset Pedal. A new leaflet pack, with five cycle rides finding West Dorset’s finest foods and arts. Featuring the work of a local artist, with routes to explore the best of the West Dorset landscape along quiet lanes. For each route there are also details of where to buy fresh local food, stop for a cup of tea or visit local art studios.
