We are lucky to have a large number of good village pubs close to us, many with interesting menus and with a policy of using fresh local produce whenever possible.
Excellent food, well kept beer. Big garden with children’s play area.
Go back down the hill and turn left, through West Milton village. On the other side of the village, follow the road over the bridge and bear left. After about a mile, there is a ‘T’ junction. Go straight over and the Marquis is at the top of the hill on the left.
Excellent pub food and the most consistent Palmers beer in the area.
Down the hill and turn right – back to Bridport and the A35 roundabout (Texaco garage). Turn left towards Dorchester. About a mile out of Bridport, there is a turning to the right half way up the first hill. Take this junction and go through the village (keep to the top road) – the pub is on the left.

Excellent pub food.
Down the hill and turn right towards Bridport. As you enter Bradpole village, turn left and follow the road straight through the village. Through the next village (Loders) and on to Uploders. The pub is on the right at the ‘T’ junction.
